In only 3 days we will begin a new series to help you on your way to mindful literacy. According to a study done by Page Bristow in The Reading Teacher, a passive reader will accept substantial inconsistencies in texts without questioning their comprehension. A good reader would never let inconsistencies go by. It’s the difference between accepting what others tell you or thinking critically and coming to your own conclusions. This New Year we will help you on the way to independent thinking and mindful reading.
I write to find the magic in words. My work is imaginative and whimsical, yet intellectual. My goal with writing is to mesmerize the reader. I challenge the belief that serious literature must be depressing, dark and dull.
